Battle of the Codes

Would you like to do something different this Australia Day, next Tuesday, January 26th? Goulburn Strikers has a chance to raise some funds for the club and a charity of their choice. Goulburn Harness Racing is having a Premier meet as part of the Carnival of Cups. Goulburn High School is promoting and running the event and all gate proceeds will be donated to the school. As part of the fun on the day the school has organised an event called “The Battle of the Codes”. The “codes” are sports codes and the invitees are: Goulburn Strikers, Drifters Hockey, Goulburn Bulldogs, The Dirty Reds and Goulburn Swans.
The challenge is for a 2 man team to pull a sulky containing a light weight person in a horse costume over 100 metres. The event will be timed electronically and the fastest team will receive $500 for their club and $500 for their nominated charity. David Albrighton and PJ Mardesic are going to pull the sulky for the Strikers, passenger?????. Watch this space for more info but make sure you can come along next Tuesday.
